THE COURSE
We have carefully crafted and developed this training to guarantee that you’ll walk away with a solid foundation in your Acroyoga practice.
The content we have selected is designed to teach you the foundational techniques of all the different aspects of Acroyoga. As well as sharing the non-physical skills this practice will unlock for you.

PLEASE NOTE:
This is NOT a full Acroyoga Teacher Training. This training is focussed on giving you the foundations and theory for a great acroyoga practice and provides continued education for certified yoga teachers.
WHAT TO EXPECT
Every day will start with warm ups and prehab to train fundamental movements in our bodies and prepare you for the rest of the day’s activities.
The handstand classes will give you the most valuable exercises, tips and techniques to improve your handstands and inversions.
During the L-Base Acroyoga classes you will learn and practice in detail several Acroyoga poses and transitions.
Several theory classes are scheduled throughout, providing valuable knowledge about communication, consent, training partnerships, injuries and much more.
Late afternoon and evenings are mostly dedicated to the therapeutic side of Acroyoga. Designed to teach you to give and receive both Acroyoga therapeutics and Thai Yoga massage.
All the content is created to deliver the most all round and valuable acroyoga experience.

CERTIFICATION
As part of your training, you will be required to demonstrate an Acroyoga sequence or series of poses and movements with your fellow students.
You will have a short written examination focussed on techniques, alignment, and Acro theory topics such as safety, communication, and anatomy.
Successful graduates of the course will receive a certification of completion which is accredited as 50hrs continued education credits with Yoga Alliance.
We believe that whether your intention is to eventually teach Acro, to become more advanced in Acroyoga, or just to deepen your connection, communication and friendships. This training and experience will allow you to unlock all of that and more!
EXPERIENCE LEVEL
This training is open to, and suitable for students of all levels, even those with NO previous experience in Acroyoga.
Beginners and Intermediate Acroyogis will be able to learn a lot from this training, as we dive deep into alignment, techniques, refining the basics, and also giving focus to communication, training partnerships and safety skills.
If you have never done Acroyoga before, this course is perfect for you as we teach from the basics up. We do recommend at least having some kind of movement practice. Such as Yoga, or any sports practice to help you get the most out of this training.

FAQ
Can I join this training if I’ve never done acro before?
Yes, this particular training is designed to be suitable for complete beginners to acroyoga.
Will I be able to teach acroyoga after this training course?
This training course is designed to teach you the foundations of acroyoga, and touches upon teaching topics and theory, however it is not a complete acroyoga teacher training. If you have no experience of teaching yoga or any other movement this course alone is unlikely to give you the experience and skills needed to effectively teach acroyoga. If you are already a yoga teacher or movement teacher then this course will provide you enough to begin teaching acroyoga with, but will not be as comprehensive as a full teacher training.
How does the Yoga Alliance certification work?
This course is accredited as continued education by yoga alliance, if you are a yoga alliance certified teacher, then this course will be added to your teaching hours after successful completion, and will count as a continued education requirement that you must complete every 3 years.
Can I join this training on my own or do I need a partner?
Yes, you can join this training on your own, the majority of students that join this course join alone. You will work with others on the training and meet new friends and training partners through the course. If you already have a partner then you will be able to work more dedicated with them whilst still interacting and practicing with others too.
Is the training safe, is there a high risk of injury?
Our training course is developed and designed with safety as the highest priority. We teach theoretical and practical safety skills throughout the course, and enforce proper safety and spotting practices, and we use puzzle mat flooring to minimise impact risks. Ultimately with any movement practice there are still risks that cannot be 100% avoided, but we consider our course overall very safe.
I’m already an experienced acroyogi, is it still worth me joining?
The level of skills and content that we teach is very foundational, focusing on L-base poses, transitions and breaking down the ideal techniques and understanding, the highest end of the content we reach are basic washing machines and some simple pops and standing poses. We have had several more intermediate or experienced students join our trainings who have found a benefit in refining their foundations and fixing bad habits, plus they have wanted to learn more acro theory like teaching, training practices, and community leading, so if that is your goal this course could also be suitable for you. If you are expecting to just learn more advanced new acro skills then instead please check out our Level 2 training program designed for intermediate/advanced acroyogis.
