This is a big one, it's something that every serious base should learn sooner or later, and ideally sooner!
I'm just going to preface this by saying though that it's not an easy tip.
It will probably take time, conscious effort and practice to fully get.
But Oh boy! is it worth it.
If you do this one tip right, flyers will be forever grateful, and they will want to play with you again and again I promise.
So the tip is...
"Soft feet"
If you can learn to make your feet soft while playing acro, it is so much more pleasant for your flyers.
And I don't mean using moisturiser to make your feet soft, although that wouldn't be a bad thing.
I mean softening your feet by relaxing them and making them fit better to the flyers body.
So how do you do this I hear you asking...
Well it takes practice and conscious effort as I mentioned.
But the best advice for it I can give is to relax your feet, and balance more from your ankle, legs and hips.
Obviously the feet are highly mobile and intelligent and can point, flex, push the toes to help balance etc.
Sometimes that's all necessary.
But most of the time it isn't, most of the time your foot can relax.
Think of trying to let your foot relax and find the most comfortable fit to the body part it's on.
There's more ways to explain this, but I think you should get the gist of it from this already.
So the best thing to do is stop reading, and go out and try it!
Like I mentioned, it might take some time, so the main thing is don't give up, keep practicing because this one thing will change you from an amateur to a pro base!
Cheers,
Cas
